About RadixFlip
I built RadixFlip because converting between number bases should be instant. I teach computer science, and I kept watching students get stuck on the same step: they do the division, they get an answer, and then they have no way to check it quickly. So I made a tool that shows every base at once, live, as you type.
What RadixFlip does
- Converter: type a number in any base — binary, quinary, octal, decimal, or hexadecimal — and see it in all five bases immediately.
- Calculator: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in any of the five bases. Division shows quotient and remainder.
- No sign-up, no buttons: everything updates as you type. Results are computed in your browser.
What RadixFlip does not do
It does not collect the numbers you type, and it does not store your calculations. Conversion runs entirely in your browser. If you use the feedback form, your message is stored in my feedback form so I can read it — that is the only data I receive.
Editorial note
The conversion math uses exact integer arithmetic, so large whole numbers keep full precision. If you ever spot a wrong result, please tell me through the feedback form — I will fix it.
